Discover the power of recombinant enzymes
What are enzymes?
Enzymes are proteins that act as biological catalysts, speeding up essential chemical reactions without being consumed.
Recombinant enzymes are engineered using recombinant DNA technology, allowing for large-scale production with consistent quality.
pbserum's recombinant enzymes, developed through advanced biotechnological research in Albacete, Spain, utilize unique biotechnology to enhance regenerative treatments for various pathologies and skin disorders, revolutionizing global medicine and expanding therapeutic possibilities.
What are our enzymes?
Our recombinant technology
pbserum has developed a unique two-generation technology using recombinant DNA to create bacterial-origin enzymes that mimic human enzymes.
Key highlights of pbserum enzymes include:
- Efficacy and Safety: high substrate specificity and selectivity ensure effective treatment for a range of skin conditions, including wrinkles, scars, cellulite, and localized fat. Their role in tissue regeneration helps improve skin health and appearance.
- Purity and Stability: achieved through a freeze-drying (lyophilization) process that dehydrates active ingredients by rapid freezing and sublimation under reduced pressure. This method maintains 100% enzyme activity and properties, ensuring product stability without the need for preservatives or additives.
- Low Immunogenicity: recombinant technology ensures these enzymes have a low level of immunogenicity, making treatments safe and minimizing adverse immune responses.
These characteristics have enabled the development of safe and efficacious products for a range of treatments. By using pbserum's recombinant enzymes products, healthcare providers can offer advanced, safe, and effective treatments for various skin conditions, enhancing overall patient outcomes through innovative biotechnological solutions.

Questions
Lyophilization is a process of dehydration and freezing, thus obtaining a pure powder that keeps the enzymes inactive until reconstitution. This process does not induce degradation of the enzyme structure. Lyophilized enzymes can be stored at room temperature (ideally 25°C ± 5°C), without refrigeration. On the other hand, once reconstituted in saline solution, they should be applied immediately to ensure maximum effectiveness and to guarantee safety by avoiding contamination. As with all enzymes, there is an optimum temperature for their action which is in the range of 36 to 40°C.
- Unique Recombinant Technology: Our enzymes are produced using a proprietary recombinant technology that ensures high purity, consistency, and efficacy.
- Bacterial Origin: They are derived from bacterial sources, mimicking human enzymes for enhanced compatibility and effectiveness.
- Strict Quality Standards: We operate under the most stringent health and manufacturing protocols, ensuring superior safety and reliability.
- Global Validation: Our enzymes are recognized as a global standard, with extensive validation from thousands of patients and specialists across more than 50 countries. These factors combine to make pbserum’s enzymes a leading choice in the field.
